Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables
- We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team for a Temporary Position. This role is specifically for the duration of a project.
- Control and operate equipment that manages chemical changes or reactions during the processing of industrial or consumer products.
- Keep an eye on gauges, recording instruments, flow meters, and other indicators to ensure specified conditions are maintained.
- Regulate temperature, pressure, feed, and flow of liquids and gases according to process requirements.
- Perform tests on product samples to ensure they meet specific standards, such as pH levels, viscosity, and chemical characteristics.
- Inspect equipment for leaks or malfunctions and perform routine maintenance. Schedule repairs as needed.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents, such as fires or explosions, and ensure proper handling and disposal of chemicals.
- Maintain accurate records of operational data, including temperatures, pressures, ingredients used, and test results.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Understanding chemical processes and equipment operation.
- Ability to monitor and adjust processes accurately.
- Skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process issues.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Minimum 5 plus years of experience within the industrial cleaning industry preferred.
- Knowledge of chemical safety and handling procedures.
- Acceptable MVR/Background Check and pass pre-employment screenings.
- Valid TWIC Card.
- CDL with endorsements preferred.
Work Environment
- Tools, equipment, machinery used: Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
- Working conditions: Will be exposed to all weather conditions. Work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft. Work in confined spaces. Work a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks. If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Work days, nights, and weekends. Travel to customers and other Miller sites as needed.
- Physical effort required: Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel. Must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks.
