Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Lead safety training sessions and workshops for employees to promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including training, inspections, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with management and staff to address safety concerns and improve overall safety performance.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety protocols.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to continuously improve safety standards.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role within an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Must have Valid TWIC Card.
Work Environment
- Tools, equipment, machinery used: Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
- Working conditions: Will be exposed to all weather conditions. Work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft. Work in confined spaces. Work a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks. If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Work days, nights, and weekends. Travel to customer and other Miller sites as needed.
- Physical effort required: Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel. Must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks.
