Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables
Supervise and coordinate activities of tank cleaning operators.
Develop and implement cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Inspect completed cleaning projects to verify adherence to specifications.
Train and mentor team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, equipment maintenance, and inventory.
Collaborate with other departments to address any issues related to tank cleaning.
Ensure proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with regulations.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong leadership and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of industrial cleaning procedures and safety standards.
Ability to manage and motivate a team.
Must be dependable, willing to work additional hours as required and be team oriented.
Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous and industrial settings.
Pass a Pulmonary Fit Test and wear proper respirator with no limitations.
Minimum Education and Experience
Previous supervisory experience is preferred
Five years of experience in industrial cleaning or a related field
Acceptable MVR / Background Check and pass pre-employment screenings
Previous waste handling experience, preferably in an industrial setting
Valid Driver's License
Valid TWIC Card
Work Environment
Tools, equipment, machinery used : Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
Working conditions : Will be exposed to all weather conditions. Work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft. Work in confined spaces. Work a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks. If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Work days, nights, and weekends. Travel to customer and other Miller sites as needed.
Physical effort required : Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel. Must be capable of climbing towers / vessels / tanks.
