Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables
- Perform a variety of industrial tasks, including hydroblasting, spill response, air machine operation, chemical cleaning, waste management, and tank maintenance.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Respond to spill incidents, ensuring containment and cleanup in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Operate and maintain hydroblasting units, air machines, and chemical cleaning systems.
- Manage waste disposal processes, ensuring proper handling, storage, and documentation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Perform inspections and maintenance on tanks and other industrial equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Document work activities, equipment usage, and maintenance activities, maintaining accurate records for reporting and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely and efficient operations.
- Participate in safety drills and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and emergency procedures.
- Provide support for other environmental and safety initiatives as needed.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining hydroblasting, air machine, and chemical cleaning equipment.
- Strong knowledge of spill response techniques and waste management procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.

Minimum Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial setting, with hands-on experience in hydroblasting, spill response, air machine operation, chemical cleaning, waste management, and tank maintenance.
- Valid TWIC card.
- Certification in hazardous materials handling or spill response preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
Work Environment
- Tools, equipment, machinery used: Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
- Working conditions: Will be exposed to all weather conditions. Work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft. Work in confined spaces. Work a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks. If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Work days, nights, and weekends. Travel to customer and other Miller sites as needed.
- Physical effort required: Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel. Must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks.
