Miller Johnson, one of Michigan’s largest full-service law firms, is seeking a dedicated and organized Legal Receptionist/Support Services Coordinator to join our Grand Rapids office. This position alternates between two key positions within our Firm. We are looking for a highly adaptable and motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a team.
Legal Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage with clients, guests, and Miller Johnson team members in a friendly and professional manner
- Promptly respond to incoming calls and forward them to the appropriate Miller Johnson team member
- Maintain a neat and organized reception desk and waiting area
- Work collaboratively with other team members to perform additional administrative duties as requested
Support Services Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, can, and distribute incoming mail accurately and promptly. Additionally, prepare outgoing mail, manage interoffice rounds, and handle packages and deliveries from services like FedEx, UPS, and other couriers
- Efficiently organize, prioritize, and process copy jobs and projects
- Assist in the maintenance and stocking of galleys and supplies to ensure that staff and visitors have access to refreshments and necessary office supplies
- All other duties assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of administrative experience is required
- At least 1 year of experience as a receptionist is preferred
- Experience in a law firm, or other professional services setting is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong client service skills, discretion, and confidentiality
- Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
