Miller Knauff Law Firm, a small-sized Texas civil litigation and insurance defense firm, seeks a full-time, experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal for its Dallas Office. We are looking for a meticulous, initiative-taking, enthusiastic collaborator who can work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat is required.

CIVIL DEFENSE LITIGATION EXPERIENCE PREFERRED.
This position is key to everyday operations, weaving together all the details that keep things running smoothly.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing case files;
- Preparing legal documents;
- Calendaring deadlines;
- Reviewing and formatting documents;
- Communicating with clients and courts;
- Organizing depositions, hearings, mediations, client meetings, and trials (scheduling skills are essential);
- Aiding in discovery and document production;
- Addressing specific attorney requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Civil defense litigation experience preferred.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; be meticulous, diligent, enthusiastic, collaborative, and have a determination to "figure it out."
- Outstanding communication, typing, and computer abilities, interpersonal interactions, and a polished professional appearance.
- Active knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure as well as knowledge and experience in preparing basic legal documents and pleadings.
- Electronically file in Federal and State courts.
