Physical Condition: As a Construction Laborer, the job entails significant physical exertion. Anticipate long hours standing, lifting, and frequently bending and kneeling throughout the project.

Job Summary:
As a Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in supporting various construction projects by performing a range of tasks essential to project completion. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: working around heavy machinery, pouring concrete, ensuring site safety, assisting tradesmen, distributing materials, erecting and dismantling structures, using hand and power tools, and working in all weather conditions. This position requires an individual with quick learning and effective communication skills. If you are a committed individual with a strong work ethic and a willingness to contribute to team efforts, we invite you to join our construction team. Expect to work cautiously alongside live highway traffic and people, at elevated heights up to 50 feet, and carrying heavy materials up to 50 lbs throughout a variety of weather conditions such as rain, snow, sleet, fog, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
- Excavate trenches and pour concrete: Digging trenches to specified depths and dimensions, and then pouring concrete into these excavated areas to create foundations, footings, or other structural elements.
- Ensure safety by setting up barricades and controlling traffic: Erecting traffic barricades, cones, and markers to redirect vehicles away from work zones, as well as managing traffic flow to ensure the safety of workers and pedestrians.
- Assist tradesmen and operate machinery: Providing support to tradesmen (carpenters, welders, etc.), by carrying materials, holding components in place, and operating machinery such as concrete mixers, jackhammers, or chainsaws as required.
- Prepare job sites and distribute materials according to plans: Cleaning and organizing the work area, loading, and unloading building materials from delivery trucks, and distributing them to designated locations based on construction plans and specifications.
- Clear debris and hazards from construction sites: Removing rubble, trash, and other debris from the work area to maintain a safe and organized environment for construction activities.
- Erect and dismantle structures as needed: Assemble temporary structures such as scaffolding or bracing to support construction projects and dismantle them once the work is complete.
- Utilizing various hand and power tools: Operating a wide range of tools including hammers, saws, drills, and power tools like pneumatic nail guns or concrete vibrators to perform construction tasks efficiently.
- Follow instructions and aid other trades on site: Adhering to construction plans and instructions provided by supervisors or lead workers, while also assisting other tradespeople with their tasks as needed.
- Work conditions: Performing duties in outdoor environments regardless of weather conditions, working cautiously near and around live highway traffic and people, and occasionally working at elevated heights using ladders or mobile equipment while carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Preferred: High school diploma or GED. Further education is not necessary but preferred.
- While further education is not mandatory, documentation highlighting certificates or trade-related schooling can strengthen your application and potentially lead to higher wage opportunities.
Experience:
- Although experience is not a strict requirement, it is preferred.
- Providing documentation that outlines your construction or other trade-related experience can improve your chances of receiving higher wage opportunities and strengthen your application.

Prevailing Wage Range: $39.12-$39.82
