Overview
The Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of healthcare facilities, serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and extremely professional in person and on the telephone.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of time slots.
- Process patient information using electronic health record system AdvancedMD.
- Assist with collecting information for insurance claims.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls/messages appropriately.
- Ensure the reception area is organized and welcoming for patients.
Skills
- Experience in a clinic or hospital setting as a medical receptionist is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AdvancedMD.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
