Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for an Assistant Track Coach at Miller Middle School. This coaching position includes instructing middle school students (grades 7 and 8) in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training of track. We are a member of the San Juan Basin League. Middle School Track season is March 2025 - May 2025
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of effective coaching practices/techniques of track
- Ability to build rapport with middle school students
- Ability to build individual and team character and confidence
- Ability to relate to students of varying athletic abilities
- Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner at all times
- Ability to work positively with coaches, staff, and administration
- Ability to communicate effectively with student athletes and parents
- CPR/1st Aid
