Our client is looking for a talented Automation Controls Engineer to design, program, and integrate advanced automation systems and custom machinery in high-speed assembly environments. Experience with custom machine building is a must-have for this role.
This role involves developing controls solutions, building complex machinery & automation systems, and integrating multi-faceted components not limited to servo drives, robotics, and vision systems. You’ll collaborate with teams to ensure high-quality results, participate in design reviews, and oversee system installation of high speed assembly systems, commissioning, and troubleshooting on a variety of unique projects that will expand your skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement electrical and controls systems.
- Program and integrate automation components, including robotics and servo systems.
- Build and debug complex automation systems, focusing on electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Oversee system installation and commissioning at client sites (~5% travel).
- Prepare detailed project documentation, including BOMs, user manuals, and schematics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, related engineering field, or equivalent work exp .
- 3-5 years of experience in automation or machine controls, especially in high-speed assembly applications.
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley Studio 5000 and SolidWorks.
- Strong skills in debugging and optimizing automation systems.
Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
