Based in Norcross GA, this role is ideal for engineers looking to apply their control panel expertise while working on a variety of challenging and meaningful projects.
About the Role
Are you a detail-oriented Design Engineer passionate about control system design and driving technical excellence? In this role, you’ll play a critical part in delivering high-quality instrumentation and control system designs across multiple customer projects.
Responsibilities
- Designing field instrumentation systems, interpreting contract documents, and generating submittals.
- Leading control panel hardware design, developing IO lists, bills of materials, and AutoCAD drawings.
- Creating loop drawings and overseeing drafting efforts for submittals.
- Selecting and designing camera and security subsystems based on project scope and requirements.
- Collaborating with IT teams to design SCADA/PLC control system networks, selecting cabling and network hardware.
- Generating network diagrams and submittals while ensuring compliance with UL and NEC standards.
- Leading design meetings, performing site visits, troubleshooting, and supporting the project from kickoff to closeout.
- Developing vendor relationships and supporting Sales & Marketing with technical expertise.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering preferred.
Required Skills
- Experience designing control panels based on contract documents (P&IDs).
- Proficiency in field instrumentation, control panel, and network hardware design.
- Strong technical writing, communication skills, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD (preferred).
