A leading food manufacturer is seeking a Technical Services Director to lead food safety, quality assurance, and compliance across our operations. This role ensures adherence to USDA, FDA, and industry standards while driving continuous improvement in product quality and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in food science, regulatory compliance, and team leadership to enhance our commitment to producing safe, high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
- Oversee GMPs, sanitation procedures, and QA documentation (HACCP, SSOPs).
- Lead raw material inspections, product quality assessments, and rotation protocols.
- Manage and improve QA and QC programs, including microbiological and environmental testing.
- Develop and execute food safety training programs for employees.
- Host and prepare for customer and third-party audits (FDA, QAI, AIB, Kosher).
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints and quality issues.
- Maintain and update the Food Safety & Quality Manual (FSQM).
- Collect and analyze quality data to enhance product specifications.
- Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and operations to drive quality improvements.
- Conduct internal audits, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
