This role is responsible for developing and executing an outsourcing strategy that ensures high-quality, cost-effective production through external partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations, supply chain management, and food manufacturing, with expertise in vendor negotiation, quality assurance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic copack and outsourcing plan aligned with company goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with third-party manufacturers and co-packers.
- Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
- Oversee vendor performance, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations (USDA, HACCP) and company standards.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams to optimize production efficiency.
- Monitor key performance metrics, identify opportunities for cost savings, and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans for outsourcing operations.
