Market Manager

Job summary:
A current job opening is available for a full-time Greenhouse Manager. We are looking for a team member with positive energy, and a passion for growing plants. Daily work will include watering greenhouse crops, managing greenhouse inventory, pulling and loading orders, crop care needs and cleaning as needed. We are a seasonal market with a fast-paced environment that changes seasonally. Training and orientation is available upon starting, with full-time work through October. Our employees enjoy time off in the winter months of November through February, and a job waiting for them in March of the next year.

Applicant requirements:
Previous gardening or greenhouse experience

Hard working skills with a positive attitude

Ability to work as part of a team and lead with positivity

A valid drivers license and your own reliable transportation

Be able to work with a flexible schedule, including weekend hours

Reliable work attendance

Physically be able to be on your feet all day and work in a fast-paced environment

Physically be able to lift 40 lbs

General Job Duties:

At Miller’s Farm Market we focus on quality plants and a positive work attitude. The Greenhouse Manager is responsible for an acre of production greenhouses at our farm facility and all the care that is needed to produce healthy, beautiful crops.

Additional daily jobs include:

Daily watering of greenhouse crops and managing the quality of the plants

Communicating with the retail staff for upcoming orders and needs

Manage crop inventory and pulling orders daily

Gain a working knowledge of the products we have in stock

Ensure crops are healthy and on-schedule

Load and unload trucks

Shift to retail work once the spring greenhouse season has ended

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
