Job Summary
The Front of House Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front-of-house staff, managing service quality, and maintaining an inviting atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, with experience in casual dining environments.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of front-of-house staff
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by training staff on service standards and resolving guest concerns promptly.
  • Manage shift operations, including scheduling staff and monitoring performance to optimize service efficiency.
  • Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial management of the front-of-house operations, including inventory control and cost management.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar, and waiting areas to enhance guest experience.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and supporting staff development.

Skills

  • Proficient in food handling practices and health regulations related to casual dining.
  • Strong shift management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and bar operations is a plus.
  • Experience in budgeting processes related to restaurant or hotel management.
  • Familiarity with banquet service operations is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
