Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components, including wiring, lighting, mechanical and operation systems.
- Collaborate with a team of works and other professionals during renovations and facility expansions.
- Planning and undertaking schedule maintenance.
- Responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, repairing equipment.
- Understanding, learning, creating, and implementing software that is connected with our ordering software, customer support, production systems, etc.
Qualification Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid electrician certification or license (required).
- Preferred - minimum 5 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
- Proven experience as a electrician or other similar position.
- Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical.
- Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the lab.
Mathematical Skills:
- Basic to advanced math skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to use and read a metric/standard ruler.
Reasoning Skills:
- Able to follow and understand directions clearly.
- Must be able to work independently and with the team cohesively.
Other Skills & Abilities:
- Basic to advanced computer skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, code requirements, service manuals, and manufacturers specifications.
- Ability to operate a wide range of power equipment and power tools and heavy equipment.
- Ability to inspect, examine and observe for obvious product or equipment defects, and for defects not easily identified.
- Ability to determine malfunctioning of units by observing instruments, determine the location and nature of the malfunction and perform the necessary repair and maintenance or notify the appropriate personnel for assistance.
- Requires work activities with others.
- Requires working with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time.

- Mechanical aptitude and skills to perform technical adjustments and maintenance on various equipment.
- Required to lift and/or move objects weighing between 5 & 50 pounds. On rare occasion may be required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Must have accurate vision and depth perception for close range work.
- Must have ability to use simple and complex tools.
