What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-K Intensive Instructional Assistant position at Miller's Run School?
The Kingdom East School District, Student Services, is seeking an Early Childhood (preschool) Intensive Instructional Assistant (IIA) who is energetic and loves working and playing with children ages 3 to 5 years old. The IIA position's purpose is to develop and interpret individual needs of students with disabilities by helping to create and implement behavior and/or instructional support programs with consultation with the early childhood special educator and preschool teacher/director. Currently this assignment will be at the Miller’s Run School but based on student needs may be flexible and needed in other Kingdom East Preschools and Partner Preschool Programs. Candidates must successfully complete the ParaPro assessment or higher degree. The IIA provides observable student data that meet the IEP Program or EST goals of students with developmental delay and/or other special needs. Position will target goal-directive services to assist students in accessing instruction in a developmentally appropriate, functional and independent manner. Candidates must have reliable transportation. Background check, including fingerprinting required upon employment.
