K-5th Summer Camp and After School Counselor

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an engaging and rewarding After School and Summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children. You will lead activities, provide guidance, and support the personal growth of campers while fostering a sense of community and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times during activities and events.
• Plan, organize, and lead various recreational activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational programs.
• Foster positive relationships with campers by providing mentorship and support.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized camp environment.
• Collaborate with fellow counselors to create an inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation from all campers.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among campers.

Skills
Ideal candidates will possess a combination of the following skills:

• Early childhood education or related experience.
• Strong classroom management abilities to maintain a productive environment.
• Effective behavior management techniques to encourage positive camper/ student interactions.
• Understanding of childhood development principles to support growth.

- ***Be willing to learn and drive a 15-passenger van for transporting students that are K-5th grade.***

- Must have a clean criminal background and pass a background screening.

- Must be over the age of 18.

- Must have experience working with children

- Must have reliable personal transportation to get to our Duluth GA location.

- Must be enthusiastic, have a positive attitude, and out going for success! :)

- Must own a smartphone or computer for regular text and email communication.

This awesome job will have up to 25 per week at $14 to $17 per hour. We have morning and afternoon shifts available! Additionally, we host events on Saturdays for extra hours.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 26 per week
