Part-Time Swim Instructor

Pay: $13.00/hr base pay with incremental increases per level you train to teach

LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED INSTRUCTORS WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY WORKED WITH KIDS UNDER THE AGE OF 3 YEARS OLD.

If you have a love and respect for the water, feel comfortable working with kids, and thrive in a fast-paced environment - we have a spot on our team just for YOU! We have intensive on-the-job training which will afford you all the skills necessary to teach Miller Swim School class offerings.

Swim Instructors hold a special place in the student’s hearts for their rest of their lives. It is an incredibly rewarding job as our instructors become role models for their students. Instructors also provide students of all ages with a lifesaving skill that has the potential to decrease the number of drownings in children and young adults.

Our instructors typically work roughly from 3:30pm to 7:30pm a few days a week and one day on the weekend.

Responsibilities:

• Make sure everyone is safe and excited!
• Love and respect students while teaching them to swim (class sizes currently capped at 4 students)
• Be a team player who is who is consistently dependable and reliable.
• Complete required training and be a continual learner.
• Follow our curriculum with a focus on the needs, abilities and comfort of each student

Qualifications:

• Caring and compassion for swimmers of all ages
• Ability to work in the water for periods of up to 5 hours
• Strong communication skills
• Great attitude and willingness to be coached
• The ability to focus in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to complete Red Cross Lifeguard certification (offered in-house when needed)
• The ability to commit to at least 1 year of employment
