The Assistant Controller at Miller Truck Leasing will report to and work closely with the Vice President of Finance in managing the company's financial operations and reporting.
Requirements
You will:
- Ensure a smooth month-end closing process including verifying reconciliations and applicable journal entries are complete.
- Research discrepancies and fluctuations of financial results.
- Supervise general accounting staff and provide direction and mentorship to establish a growth plan as the company expands
- Supervise the billing team and ensure an accurate and structured process is followed, as well as conducting regular variance analyses
- Oversee and assist in the completion of all bank reconciliations
- Complete quarterly financial reporting and reconciliations
- Serve as a main contact for the annual audit process
- Recommend process improvements to empower an effective and efficient Accounting and Finance team
- Maintain proper financial controls that conform with company policies, US GAAP, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 7 years of managerial accounting and financial management experience.
