Machine Operator 1 (Small Pole) - 1st shift

NOW HIRING: Millerbernd Manufacturing is looking for a Machine Operator 1 to join our Transportation & Infrastructure (Pole) team within the Small Pole department. The Machine Operator 1 is responsible for setting up, operating, loading, and unloading various machines/ equipment to manufacture metal products in accordance with product specifications.

Job Title: Machine Operator 1
Location: Winsted, MN
Salary Range: $21.46 – 25.50 per hour
(In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)
Shift Schedule: 1st shift Monday – Thursday 5am – 3pm
Shift Differential: 1st shift – N/A

As a Machine Operator 1, you will:

• Operate 1-7 Level I machines and complete simple setup routine
• Work is usually repetitive and subject to process inspection
• May be required to use gauges to check work
• Load and feed metal stock and other materials into manual or automatic machines
• Verify end parts are consistent with blueprint specifications
• Accurately label all parts for routing to the next operation
• Monitor the production board and internal paperwork to perform tasks in the designated sequence

Role Qualifications as a Machine Operator 1:

• Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to perform basic shop math and read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to operate hoists, cranes, and other powered industrial vehicles as needed
• Ability to operate various power and hand tools
• Ability to use various measuring devices; tape measures, squares, and calipers
