Large Press Operator - 1st shift

NOW HIRING: Millerbernd Manufacturing is looking for a Large Press Operator 1 to join our Transportation & Infrastructure (Pole) team. The Large Press Operator 1 is responsible for using a large press brake to bend, shape, cut and manipulate sheet metal and metal plates.

Job Title: Large Press Operator 1

Location: Winsted, MN

Salary Range: $22.95 – 27.00 per hour

(In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)

Shift Schedule: 1 st shift Monday – Thursday 5am – 3pm

Shift Differential: 1 st shift – N/A

As a Large Press Operator 1, you will:

• Operates a press brake to manufacture shafts from sheet metal or metal plates
• Performs quality inspection of material before commencing process
• Loads and feeds material into the press
• Reads and verifies parts are consistent with print specifications
• Performs in-process inspection/quality checks
• Assists in machine set-ups and changeovers
• Inputs basic machine settings and makes minor machine adjustments
• Accurately labels all parts for routing to next operation
• Performs job wanding
• Escalates equipment and quality issues
• Performs forming process for both round and sided shafts
• Monitors the production board scheduling direction to perform tasks in the designated sequence
• Maintains area cleanliness
• Notify supervisor or lead machine operator of defective materials and machine malfunctions
  
  

Role Qualifications as a Large Press Operator 1:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to perform basic shop math functions
• Ability to use forklift, hoist, crane and other handling equipment
• Ability to operate various power and hand tools
• Ability to use various measuring devices; tape measures, squares, and calipers
• Ability to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods
• Ability to set up and safely operate equipment
