The Textile Applications Specialist will process high quality Textile products while supporting the demand of new textile launches and working closely with both internal and external partners.

GENERAL PURPOSE
The Textile Applications Specialist will process high quality Textile products while supporting the demand of new textile launches and working closely with both internal and external partners.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for utilizing the MillerKnoll Materials Database to initialize and maintain application approvals and rejections for MillerKnoll Textiles on MillerKnoll Furniture and Panels.
- Ordering and sending out fabric or memo samples as needed for screening trials.
- Frequent communication with upholsterers and fabricators to verify progression of application testing.
- Work closely with CMF Program Manager at the time of a new furniture, panel, or textile launch to ensure that a corelated assortment of textiles and leathers are approved.
- Proficient in writing and tracking ECN’s.
- Work with various colleagues, suppliers, or dealers to provide solutions to rejected or discontinued fabrics.
- Job location is East Greenville, PA

Education/Experience
- High School Diploma required B.S or B.A preferred, Textile Degree a Plus.
- 3-5 years’ experience in technical textile discipline
- Knowledge of industry flammability tests, ACT testing requirements and Environmental regulations is helpful.
- Must be able to effectively articulate technical issues with internal and external customers.
- Understanding of the textile manufacturing process from fiber to finishes fabric.
- Good organizational skills and follow-up skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment to coordinate materials, textiles and production groups to meet project timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
