Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will handle transactions efficiently while also engaging in upselling opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and services to customers.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to provide accurate information to customers.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy, striving for resolution.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise as needed.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and throughout the store.
- Supervise junior staff or new hires when necessary, providing guidance and support.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred but not required.
- Strong cash handling skills with a basic understanding of retail math.
- Proficiency in using POS systems for transaction processing.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
