Introduction. The First Presbyterian Church of Millersburg, Ohio seeks a part-time Pastor who is spiritually mature and demonstrates a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ and has a deep passion for the Lord and views consistent with the tenets of Christianity and our Church’s mission and vision. The Pastor, as a minister of the Gospel, shall be a biblically grounded and Holy Spirit led individual devoted to the service of Christ and our church, and preach the word of God.
An Ideal candidate has been called by God to minister and is committed to a life guided by prayer and the scriptures and would help grow our church while also fostering the congregation’s individual walks with Christ. In a time when Churches are closing their doors, we want to swing ours wide open and grow together to be better disciples of Christ.

Congregational Priorities for the Pastor
Worship Leadership – Responsible for the weekly proclamation of God’s Word (Old and New Testament) and administration of the sacraments along with conducting special services.
Growing Youth Ministries – Develop youth ministry focused on building strong relationships with youth, incorporating relevant programming that addresses their needs, and grounded in Presbyterian values and theology.
Congregational Fellowship – Emphasis in developing fellowship and encouraging groups with the opportunity to love and support one another.
Visitation and Outreach – Systematic plan for congregational, hospital, and emergency visitation and support current mission activities of the Church and the community.
Teaching – Pastor accepts an active teaching role, Scriptures, theological concepts, instructions for Church officers, and new member confirmation.
