Job Summary / Basic Function
The Tell School of Music is seeking a qualified and passionate music educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Kodály pedagogy and a strong background in teaching general music at the K-12 level. Responsibilities include teaching Elementary and / or Middle / Secondary Music Methods courses using the Kodály Concept, as well as demonstrating effective strategies for working with diverse student populations. The position requires a combination of academic qualifications, practical teaching experience, and a commitment to excellence in music education. Applicants must be prepared to participate in a successful interview process, including a teaching demonstration.
Temporary, part-time instructor responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Music.
Teaching will be done on-campus with some online components, as needed.

This position requires in-person instruction on Millersville University’s campus. This position is contingent upon sufficient enrollments in assigned classes.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION : The Tell School of Music in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences comprises 12 full-time and 19 part-time faculty members, two support staff, and music majors and minors. It offers programs in the Bachelor of Science in Music Education, the Bachelor of Arts in Music, the Bachelor of Science in Music Industry with concentrations in Production, Management, and Live audio, the minor in Music, and courses in general education. In addition, it offers large and small ensemble experiences for music majors and general students and Millersville University is accredited by NASM. The music education program complies with the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). Required Qualifications
