Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Marketing and Social Media Specialist at Millie Bo Peep Children's Boutique. As a Social Media Specialist, you will also have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the retail space and contribute to our small business' success. Ideal candidates must have previous social media and/or marketing experience as well as customer service experience. This is an hourly paid part-time position. Must be willing to work during the week. This position will be for 6-15 hours a week, but the hours and schedule is flexible. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating and scheduling posts on our Social Media platforms
- Responsible for assisting in marketing and creative event ideas to help promote Millie Bo Peep
- Responsible for creating video content to be used for marketing purposes
- In addition to social media and marketing roles, employee is responsible for handling transactions and ringing up customers
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Research and learn about the brands and products that we carry so that you can better provide better customer service and marketing
- Accept and unpackage new shipments for unboxing videos
- Responsible for creating emails, such as newsletters, promotions, and events
- creating and maintaining blogs to be posted on Millie Bo Peep’s website
- moderate the Millie Bo Peep VIP page, if applicable
Experience:
- Previous social media and marketing experience is a must
- advanced knowledge with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
-experience with Meta Business Suite
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous event planning desired
Requirements:
- advanced social media knowledge
- Experience working directly with customers and providing excellent customer service
- GED or HSD required.
- Required to work on weekdays
