Job Summary :
This position is located at the Milliken Cushman site in Williamston, SC and reports to Engineering. This position is r esponsible for maintaining the plant production equipment and auxiliary equipment (including material handling, pumps, motors, air compressors, boilers, & chillers) at or above expected physical condition so as to produce high quality products on schedule, keeping required maintenance records and schedules and needed parts and supplies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical / electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies drives, gages and test equipment
- Reinstall guards and safety equipment correctly after completion of any work
- Ensure D.C. / A.C. motors, breakers and other equipment switches are in good working order.
- Read electrical drawings and ensure electrical components of machinery are operating properly.
- Assist other engineering associates to perform work as required to keep production machinery and auxiliary equipment in working order.
- Inform appropriate management and maintenance / production associates of potential electrical / mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
- Assist Maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting
- Demonstrate a high level of safety consciousness and fully participate in the Milliken Safety Process
Qualifications : Required
- Two-year technical degree in an electrical-related field
- Through knowledge or electrical / electric components and equipment including PC hardware components, desktop operation system software and application software.
- Knowledge of Preparation processes- (preferred).
The successful candidate will demonstrate skills in the following :
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Able to work well with various groups of people such as vendors, customers, Milliken associates whether individually or in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple activities and use resources creatively
- Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Able to work well and communicate with production associates in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting
