POSITION OVERVIEW
The intern program offers a unique opportunity for an intern to gain valuable experience in internal auditing, data management, and process improvement. Through the projects and responsibilities listed below, the intern will play a role in ensuring the success of key initiatives in Internal Audit.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Internal Controls Checklist Validation - Assist with a proposed internal audit in 2025
Validate the plant internal controls checklist for a specific location. This task involves ensuring that the plant audit is accurate, complete, reflective of the actual controls in place at a selected plant and aligned with the program expectations.
In 2024, Internal Audit evaluated the Jira tool for automating the plant internal controls checklist. This task involves collaborating with a plant (pilot location) to evaluate the tool, with the goal of rolling it out to all locations in 2026. This project will involve hands-on experience with the Jira tool and interaction with a plant finance leader at a selected location.
In 2024, our IT department began developing an Internal Audit Dashboard in Jira. The objective of this project is to prepare the data files to feed into this dashboard, streamlining the data to ensure it is in a centralized location to populate the dashboard. This task will involve data collection and organization to support the dashboard. This project aims to enhance the overall functionality and usability of the dashboard.
