The operator has the responsibility to identify any non-conformity in the Quality System as it relates to their area of responsibility and report it to the Production Manager, P.I. Department or ISO Management representative.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Spinning Technician (Frame Technician) is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of machinery in the Spinning department. The technician ensures adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental responsibilities as outlined in company policies and procedures. Regularly inspecting the spinning process to detect issues such as breaks in yarn and sliver ensuring quality of the output. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on spinning frames to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Identifying and resolving mechanical problems with the spinning frames. Ensuring the yarn produced meets quality standards by making necessary adjustments to the machinery. Communicate with the outgoing technician to discuss any ongoing issues. Repair machinery breakdowns, logging downtime and contacting appropriate personnel for critical issues. Exhibit strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose, repair, and resolve machinery breakdowns promptly; escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel. Conduct regular patrols of machinery, inspecting for quality issues and mechanical problems, and take corrective actions as needed. Handle non-conforming materials by correcting issues or notifying supervisor. Responsible for making spinning changes. Setting up spinning frames according to production specifications. Calibrating machines to ensure optimal performance and yarn quality. Using diagnostic tools to assess machine performance and make real-time adjustments. Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating & replacing worn parts. Conducting preventive maintenance to minimize machine downtime. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with frame. Inspecting yarn for consistency, strength and uniformity. Adjusting machine settings to correct any deviations from quality standards. Keeping detailed records of production metrics and quality control checks. Authorized to shut down machinery to address safety hazards, inadequate cleaning, mixtures and contamination, abnormal noises, or any other quality issues.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIIES
- Must be capable of climbing and using ladders up to 14' high.
- Standing and walking 8 hours per shift.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. and over assistance
- Must be able to lift and install motors weighing as much as 200 lbs. with assistance
- Must be able to reach into areas on the machine to make repairs and use required hand tools and gauges as
- Push a tool cart with the required tools and supplies to make minor repairs using 10-15lbs push force
- Use sky jack and forklift

WORK ENVIRONMENT / SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION
This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud. Temperatures can be more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity level can be more than 98% for 100% of day.
SHIFT / WORK HOURS
Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays are scheduled depending on business demands.
