Assistant Womens Soccer Coach

The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the women's soccer program, particularly recruiting, travel management, on campus events, on field instruction, and scouting for opponents. The Assistant Coach will assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes and the retention and success of current student-athletes, which is of the utmost importance and priority.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assists the Women's Soccer Program.
• Design and implement training programs.
• Recruit student athletes.
• Perform a second duty that is assigned dependent on the candidate's strengths and background.
• Conduct women's soccer practice sessions and perform game coaching.
• Be aware of and adhere to NCAA and CCIW rules relating to the women's soccer program.
• Serve as Athletic Facility Monitor.
• Serve as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Instructor of the Athletic Department as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
  
  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to succeed in a result-driven professional organization. Maintaining professional performance, demeanor, team-approach and focus on results while working under pressure in a dynamic environment. Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork. Highly organized, with the ability to plan, execute and multitask to meet deadlines.

Minimum Education And/or Experience

• Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred).
• Previous experience in college and coaching preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of the sport of soccer
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn, technology skills needed to perform listed responsibilities.
• Ability to recruit and retain quality women's soccer student-athletes.
• Excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to various audiences.
• Ability and willingness to work effectively in a team atmosphere in the Athletic Department
• Strong commitment to the University and NCAA Division III philosophy
• Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic success of the student-athlete.
