The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $109,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
Location
This role will be part of the Milliman Chicago office, and it is preferred that the candidate work in the office weekly. However, remote applicants within the US will be considered. The expected application deadline for this job is April 30, 2025.

The Role
The Finance/Accounting Associate role is an integral part of finance team and provides support in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank deposits, vendor relations, month-end close, year-end reporting, and other administrative tasks.
Your Responsibilities
- Create invoices and ensure timely delivery to clients per the billing schedules.
- Maintain electronic filing system of invoices, payments, client/vendor agreements and other records in compliance with internal and regulatory agencies’ record retention policies.
- Apply payments and investigate any discrepancies between payments and invoices.
- Assist with Month-end, year-end close and audits.
- Reconcile and process vendor invoices per the agreements.
- Work closely with internal and external clients and respond to queries.
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend new strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Knowledge Required
- Medium to advanced excel skills with ability to manage to large data sets.
- Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn multiple software applications.
- Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or another similarly relevant program of study.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities.
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Time management skills and ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong work ethics, integrity, and reliability.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
