Our client located in Washington D.C. is currently hiring for a Legal Administrative Assistant responsible for managing the front desk, handling incoming calls, and assisting attorneys with secretarial support, complex document editing, creating tables and spreadsheets, project management, and calendar management.
This position requires on-site work 4 days per week and allows 1 day remote weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression of the firm. Direct them to the appropriate personnel or meeting areas.
- Answer phone calls promptly, direct them to the correct department or individual, and take accurate messages when necessary.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and hearings for attorneys and legal staff, ensuring no scheduling conflicts.
- Helping attorneys solve problems by finding reliable solutions while working within Firm policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client information, case details, and other sensitive materials.
- Assisting with timekeeping, transcription, and payment processing requests and coordinating billing processes.
- Assist with processing client payments and basic billing inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely payment records.
- Coordinating attorney travel, expense reimbursements and event registrations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma from an accredited institution at minimum; Bachelor degree preferred
- 3 years experience working in a law firm in a Legal Receptionist or Legal Admin role
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Outlook
