Your Role:

At MilliporeSigma, the Material Handler Picking and Kitting Operator is responsible for operations related to the final packaging or boxing of products to the established quality standards to meet customer demand and expectations.


  • Optimize operations to realize maximum efficiency and productivity .
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and maintain equipment and area cleanliness.
  • Work with safety, quality, engineering, and senior manufacturing personnel in identifying and implementing process improvements and process validations.
  • Follow all written documents including standard operating procedures (SOP's), forms, Test Methods, and Test Specifications. Ensures proper line opening and line closing for one or more complete operations.
  • Communicate to the manufacturing team of any issues or opportunities that may affect product quality.
  • Adhere to company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and ensure that others are doing the same.
  • Learn and adhere to safety rules for the work area as it pertains to handling chemicals and equipment.
  • Learn the safety hazards of processes, equipment, and materials and apply that knowledge during routine operations.
  • Monitor and record critical process parameters.
  • Perform a wide variety of skilled duties in the preparation and operation of process equipment.
  • Accurately use computerized operating systems to run and monitor manufacturing equipment, if needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work environment.
  • Serve as a good role model to peers for safe work practices and behavior by conducting yourself professionally, keeping in mind your own safety and the safety of others.
  • Ensure compliance to all aspects of the Quality Management System as they pertain to Materials Control, Handling, Line Opening/Closing, and labeling.
  • Verifiythat product being moved has an appropriate Pallet Placard & QC Stamp before moving.
  • Clean VLM's every other month.
  • Work directly with the kitting room and the shippers/receivers to coordinate all material needed for the shop floor.
  • Return remaining material back to its ERP location.
  • Responsible for replenishing the VLM.
  • Assist with weekly cycle counts.
  • Issue material to work orders when needed.
  • Print pick lists/ pick work orders.
  • A Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 2:30pm
  • B Shift: Monday - Thursday 2:00pm - 10:30pm
  • C Shift: Monday - Thursday 10:00pm - 6:30am
  • D Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00am - 6:30pm
  • E Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00pm - 6:30am


Physical Attributes:
  • Lift, push, and or pull up to 50lbs


Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of experience in a warehouse, production, or distribution operations environment


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or higher
  • Regulated Manufacturing experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • High intellectual horsepower with proven problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills. Good decision-maker.
  • Collaborative and likable team player. Always looking to share and advance best practices.
  • Ability to drive change and challenge the status quo in a respectful/professional manner.
