Your Role:
As a Maintenance Technician 3 at MilliporeSigma, you will be responsible for maintaining and installing equipment, facilities, and utility systems. Your role will involve executing preventive maintenance, responding to proactive and reactive work orders, and creating documentation in both physical and virtual formats. This multi-skilled position requires completing tasks across various technical fields, ensuring the smooth operation of the site. You will work both independently and safely, ensuring continuity and efficiency in all site operations.
- Participate in on-call rotation during off-hours
- Carry an on-call phone for extended periods
- Arrive on-site within 45-60 minutes if called during on-call hours
Physical attributes:
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted- may need to lift more than 50 pounds with assistance
- Sit, stand, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch or crawl for long periods of time while performing the duties of this role
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4 years of experience in an industrial mechanical field
Preferred Qualifications:
- HVAC certification or technical school training
- Knowledge of Ohm’s Law
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow work instructions, manuals, and procedures
- Proficient in reading gauges and technical diagrams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Previous experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) facility (preferred, but not required)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve VFD and PLC issues
- Experience troubleshooting, designing, installing, and maintaining electrical power and control circuits up to 480V
- Experience troubleshooting electrical motors
- Proficiency in changing bearings, fittings, regulators, or other piping components
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing heating, air conditioning, and chiller systems
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing ventilation equipment (e.g., air handlers, exhaust systems)
