Job Description
The Shipper/Receiver II is an intermediate-level position responsible for efficiently managing both outgoing and incoming shipments with a focus on safety and quality. In this role, you will handle the movement, storage, and protection of materials and products, ensuring they are properly tracked and disposed of when necessary. You will be required to safely operate material handling equipment, such as hand trucks and forklifts, and accurately enter and verify transactions for all materials. Additionally, you will perform intermediate-level troubleshooting and investigations to ensure smooth operations within the shipping and receiving process.

Job Description
The Shipper/Receiver II is an intermediate-level position responsible for efficiently managing both outgoing and incoming shipments with a focus on safety and quality. In this role, you will handle the movement, storage, and protection of materials and products, ensuring they are properly tracked and disposed of when necessary. You will be required to safely operate material handling equipment, such as hand trucks and forklifts, and accurately enter and verify transactions for all materials. Additionally, you will perform intermediate-level troubleshooting and investigations to ensure smooth operations within the shipping and receiving process.
Duties Include
- Perform intermediate level shipping and receiving duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and Safety Specifications and GMP standards.
- Place items in the warehouse by packing/unpacking and transporting using forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
- Duties will also include packing, scanning, labeling, and counting materials.
- Ensure adherence to environmental management systems.
- Complete and verify accuracy of orders and complete transactions and documentation per GMP standards.
- Ensure a clean and orderly workspace.
- Proactive identification of safety, quality, and productivity concerns. Actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the work area and the site.
- Participate in sustainability efforts.
- Communicate and participate in shift changeovers with colleagues and leads.
- Escalate issues to next level (operations, lead, supervisor, etc.)
- Works under limited supervision.
- Exposure to machinery and equipment in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to chemicals and other hazardous materials.
- 100% Standing for duration of shift, up to 12 hours.
- Frequent lifting of 20 - 30 lbs. necessary/Max lifting – 40 to 50 lbs.
- Bend and twist as needed.
- Grasp, manipulate and handle objects consistently and regularly, Fine motor skills are required.
- Work in a clean room environment.
- Pass a DOT Physical
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year of work experience in a material handling or warehousing position in a fast-paced GMP manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 years’ experience with ERP systems.
- 2 years’ experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or related environment
- Certified in all areas of shipping and receiving or equivalent relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge of EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Intermediate computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Reliable and self-motivated.
- Read, follow and understand operating procedures and documentation.
- Certified trainer.
- Experience handling chemical and hazardous materials.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills.
