What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nurse Substitute position at Millis Public Schools?
The successful candidate for the Substitute Nurse position will be responsible for delivering, and managing school health services for students enrolled in the Millis Public Schools. The substitute candidates would be responsible for delivering, and managing school health services on an on-call basis at either the elementary, middle or high school.
The role supports a comprehensive school health program per the requirements of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Responsibilities include the delivery of direct nursing services and emergency medical response; provision of health promotion and illness and injury prevention; case management and collaboration with multidisciplinary education professionals; participation on school and district committees and in community emergency planning; and adherence to professional practice as a Registered Nurse per the laws and regulations of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
