Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Certified Painters to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory and various painting techniques. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of projects. The Painter will work closely with other construction professionals to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and caulking as necessary.
- Apply paint using various techniques including airless paint spraying and hand tools.
- Install fixtures and perform minor repairs as needed to ensure a smooth finish.
- Understand and apply color theory to achieve desired aesthetics for each project.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets company standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and safety protocols related to painting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting, with a portfolio of completed projects preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment related to painting tasks.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques and coatings application is a plus.
- Familiarity with commercial painting practices is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as required for the job.
