Registered Nurse (RN) Team Member
Luxor Nursing and Rehabilitation at Mills Pond is actively seeking Registered Nurses to work for our Skilled Nursing Facility in St. James, NY. Primary responsibility to include intake & processing new Admissions. This position is Per Diem. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in the Nursing Home setting including handling Admissions. Shift times: 3pm-11pm and the ideal candidate will have flexibility to come in on short notice, as needs arrive during high volume admissions days.

DUTIES:
- Provides advice & support to the Residents and their families.
- Intake of new Admissions
- Admissions Assessments
- Entering orders, communicating with medical & clinical teams
- Monitoring Residents and administering medication and treatments.
- Documents Resident care services by charting in Resident & dept. records.
- Protects Residents & staff by adhering to infection-control policies & protocols.
- Resolves Resident problems &needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
- Assures quality of care by adhering to Facility philosophies & standards of care.
- Maintains Resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Should work well in a team environment.
- Current New York State RN License.
- Long-Term Care Experience Preferred.
- Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Should be friendly and a team worker.
- Point Click Care (EMR) experience highly preferred
