Server/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling food orders and transactions. This role requires a strong focus on collaboration, time management, and the ability to upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in placing their orders.
• Accurately process cash and credit transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
• Upsell menu items to customers, enhancing their dining experience while increasing sales.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Adhere to food handling regulations and safety standards at all times.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages.
• Provide support to team members as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the grocery store or food industry is preferred but not required.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and culinary basics is a plus.
• Excellent cash handling skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and colleagues.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.38 - $14.09 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
