Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Lead assigns work depending on priorities set by the Operations Manager in the Shipping Department.
- The Lead also ensures that operators are following required duties and tasks as prescribed by Millstone SOP’s.
- Assist in operational and quality issues that operators encounter during kit inspection and shipping operations.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives.
- Support and assist in the training of new operators.
- The position includes visual inspection of medical devices and instruments which requires the ability to detect defects. 20/20 or corrected 20/20 vision is required.
Requirements
- Requires one to two years of prior experience
- Possess basic arithmetic skills
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written to communicate with customers
- Ability to train other employees
- Attention to detail
- Mid-level – familiar with Microsoft Office, ERP, and other common programs
- Ability to read and write the English language
- Advanced inventory control (FIFO)
- Advanced blueprint interpretation skills
