Role Overview:
The Manager of Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's information systems, networks, and technology infrastructure. This role ensures that IT systems align with business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and support security and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have a good technical background, strong application and business process skills, leadership skills, and experience managing IT projects and teams.
Hybrid - Remote one day/week
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic IT Management:
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- Assess and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and security.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Systems and Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and security of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
- Manage software and hardware procurement, deployment, and upgrades.
- Ensure system reliability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection:
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols to protect company data and IT assets.
- Monitor and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
IT Support & Service Management:
- Lead the IT support team to provide timely assistance to users and resolve technical issues.
- Establish IT service management processes, including incident and problem management.
- Maintain documentation and provide training to users on IT policies and best practices.
Project Management & Vendor Relations:
- Oversee IT projects, including software implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and consultants.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective solutions for IT needs.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop IT staff.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews and set professional development goals for the team.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 years of experience in IT management, systems administration, or a related role.
- Proven experience in leading IT teams and managing IT infrastructure.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in network administration, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and enterprise software management.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing business needs.
