We are looking for an inhouse draftsperson to draw custom home designs. Day to day tasks and responsiblities would include:
- Create Drawings: Use CAD software to create drawings and plans based on specifications.
- Provide technical guidelines: create blueprints, schematics, and building dimensions.
- Calculate Costs: Estimate material costs and construction costs.
- Ensure Compliance: Verify that drawings meet specifications and regulations.
- Identify Issues: Review sketches and designs for operational issues and redesign for improvement.
- Communicate: Work with clients and other professionals to understand needs and resolve design queries.
- Manage documents: Use product data management software to manage documents.
Skills:
- Knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and algebra
- Understanding of different shapes and how to calculate their areas
- Ability to identify ratios and proportions
- Ability to generate detailed illustrations
Education and Training
- Training in drafting and computer-aided design (CADD) procedures.
- Associate's degree preferred
Qualifications
- Proficient in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong drafting skills with experience in creating schematics
- Knowledge of construction and interior design principles
- Experience in graphic design and system design is a plus

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
