BASIC FUNCTION
Primary Responsibility : The Sales Representative is responsible for working in assigned territory, maintain relationships, expand / upgrade equipment / system usage, and take orders from existing customers and secure new customers by calling or visiting customers and prospects. Meet or exceed projected dollar volumes in terms of sales and profitability, as well as meeting activity requirements. Do appropriate planning and paperwork in support of sales function.
WORK PERFORMED
Secure orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting. The customer facility or contacting by phone :
- Secure opportunities to quote on customer requirements.
- Follow up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted to customers.
- Establish professional customer / vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management and other key personnel).
- Meet activity requirements and quotas as outlined in compensation program and as directed by management.
Submit weekly activity / call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders and other problems concerning customer / vendor relationships. Provide lost business reports; territory sales forecasts as required.
Perform other duties as required
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of two (2) years outside B2B sales experience, preferably on a commission basis. Related industry experience preferred.
