BASIC FUNCTION
Primary Responsibility: The Scheduler is the key focus point for the first initial contact with the customer for customer service. This position is responsible for the coordination of setting up equipment deliveries for Milner customers. The person in this role must be able to multitask different scenarios depending on customer needs and requirements. The person must be able to communicate in a professional manner with customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via outbound calls and e-mails to establish a completion date for the warehouse and delivery date for the customer/consumer.
- Answer phone calls and e-mails, corresponding with clients and reminding them of upcoming appointments
- Coordinate with sales, customers and drivers to establish truck routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery schedules
- Must compile and communicate daily schedule to team
- Will provide support setup and warehouse teams during down time
- Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere
Qualifications:
- Must have 1 - 2 years experience with a inventory management system..
- Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking, written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Ability to analyze data to improve delivery efficiency, delivery routes, traffic patterns, and time management.
- Excellent computer skills, including spreadsheet and word processing programs and e-mail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work in areas which require attention to detail in a varied environment.
- General office environment. May spend long hours sitting or standing.
- Some physical effort is required which may involve bending, reaching, stretching, or similar activities as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 60 pounds
