Warehouse Associate
Primary role is to ensure all receiving responsibilities are handled according to Milo’s Tea Company guidelines and standards. Work closely with the Supply Chain and Production Departments to insure all products are safely and properly unloaded from trucks and accurately recorded, received, and delivered.
Responsibilities
Record and process inventory transactions including the receipt and transfer of raw materials, the disposition of any raw materials or finished goods, and help coordinate the return of any defective raw materials.
Inspect the condition of all trucks for cleanliness based on SQF expectations. Notify Buyer II, Logistics Manager, or QA Manager if a trailer is not clean and does not meet expectations.
Take pictures of any unacceptable trailers and record corresponding trailer numbers. Immediately send picture and trailer information to Buyer II, Logistics Manager, and QA Manager to ensure proper communication to supplier or customer.
Receive, verify, and document incoming shipments and provide information (container number, lot number, production dates, etc.) on the QA stickers/receiving worksheets (exclusively for lot controlled items) while utilizing and matching appropriate purchase order paperwork.
Process receipts into Sage X3 (ERP system) in accordance with purchase orders, packing lists, and quantities received.
Deliver appropriate packages/items to internal Milo’s employees as directed by the purchase order or Buyer II.
Quantify and coordinate returns for all finished product pallets that are in the plant.
Rotate new delivery shipments of raw materials in storage area and warehouse racks according to date (FIFO).
Log drop trailers that are staged in trailer parking lot by contents, date, and trailer number.
Monitor and log visitors in receiving and shipping areas in accordance with our “Visitors in the Workplace” Policy.
Secure chemicals inside or above the caged racking once the products have been received and all associated paperwork has been completed.
Empty corrugated trailers, when possible, and keep warehouse racks stocked.
Assist warehouse team lead with cycle counts, raw material staging, and stock transactions, as needed.
Inspect warehouse equipment, including forklifts and docking equipment, for defects.
Manage and stock personal tea coolers on campus throughout each week.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
All applicants must have either a High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
All applicants must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Applicants must have the ability to write simple correspondence. Applicants must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations.
All applicants must have the ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and divide with 10’s and 100’s, while also being able to multiply.
Applicants must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, see, talk and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. All applicants must have the ability to stay at work station and area for three continuous hours.
