Our client is seeking a licensed and experienced Aviation Project Engineer to join their team. This role provides the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects for local airport agencies and private clients. Position : Aviation Project Engineer
Compensation : $100K-$130K
Location : Atlanta, GA
Responsibilities
Lead the design of aviation infrastructure elements, including pavements, drainage, utilities, lighting / NAVAIDS, security, and fuel facilities.
Prepare project design calculations and maintain comprehensive design calculation files.
Ensure the implementation of independent quality control reviews for all project deliverables.
Manage and coordinate the development of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items.
Oversee and review drafting processes and the assembly of comprehensive plan sets.
Develop and assign task work plans to team members while monitoring progress.
Foster effective communication and collaboration within the design team.
Organize and lead technical meetings among design staff to address project needs.
Conduct occasional field construction observations, including out-of-town travel as required.
Actively participate in relevant professional organizations to stay informed of industry advancements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with expertise in aviation infrastructure design.
Proficiency in FAA design standards and familiarity with applicable regulations.
Advanced proficiency in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to perform complex engineering analysis and design tasks.
Proven ability to assemble complete design packages, including all required documentation.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
