This new position reports directly to the President and will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with both commercial and non-commercial partners, such as charities and financial service organizations. The Director of Partnerships will represent the company externally, attending conferences, negotiating lender relationships, and helping shape impactful community programs. - Build and Manage Relationships: Develop direct relationships with key partners in the financial services space, focusing on personal loan providers, credit counseling and non-commercial charity partners (e.g., DAV, veteran-focused organizations).
- Drive Negotiations: Work closely with lenders to negotiate favorable terms, maximizing commercial opportunities.
- Community Engagement: Collaborate with charity partners to develop tools and services for free, helping veterans and others in need access updated resources.
- Brand Promotion: Represent CPC Marketing at key industry conferences and events to drive brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
- Partnership Strategy: Work with cross-functional teams and Not For Profit partners to design and implement a community-focused program that highlights CPCs mission and impact
- Has at least 7 years of experience in business development, with 2-3 years focused specifically on the personal finance sector.
- Is personable and relationship-driven, able to build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Has an established network in the personal finance/lending industry (existing connections within lenders like OneMain Financial, SoFi, Avant is highly preferred).
- Is comfortable with frequent travel
- Has a passion for community-focused initiatives.
- Is results-oriented, with a proven track record of successfully negotiating partnerships and managing key business relationships.
- Has an entrepreneurial spirit, able to operate with a high level of autonomy in a fast-paced, growing company.
- Proven experience in business development and partnership management.
- Experience in, or an understanding of performance marketing is strongly preferred
- Strong network within the financial services and charity sectors (targeted towards helping veterans
- Bachelors degree preferred, but relevant experience in this field could substitute.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, likable, and able to connect easily with diverse audiences.
