A boutique law firm in Melville, New York, specializing in Business, Corporate & Real Estate Law, Commercial Litigation, Trusts & Estates, and Employment Law, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Assistant. This role provides essential support to attorneys in their daily operations, including administrative tasks, client interactions, document preparation, and marketing efforts.

Position : Legal Assistant
Compensation : $45K-$50K
Location : Melville, NY
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys, including managing correspondence, handling phone calls, and greeting clients.
Draft and proofread legal documents, including litigation pleadings, court filings, and estate planning documents.
Assist with will signings and estate planning document preparation.
Maintain and organize both physical and electronic filing systems.
Manage office tasks such as copying, mail sorting, and supply inventory.
Coordinate office supplies and ensure overall office organization.
Assist in marketing initiatives, including managing LinkedIn posts, preparing newsletters, designing event flyers, updating the firm's website, and sending email communications.
Qualifications & Skills
2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant, with experience in litigation and e-filing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of LinkedIn and Constant Contact is preferred but not required.
