Field Application Scientist *PC 1119

 Your Tasks: 

The Field Application Scientist (FAS) role is part of the Miltenyi Commercial team playing a key role in customer success. The responsibilities of the FAS bridge from pre-sales to post-sales. The FAS manages the customer installation base in the assigned territory by delivering the initial customer training, and is responsible for continuous support and success -, including re-trainings, application development, and workshop planning and execution. In addition, the FAS participates in the pre-sales process and assists a diverse team of Technical Sales Representatives in delivering technical presentations and lunches and learns, as well as instrument demonstrations to technically close a sale. The FAS contributes to the sale of antibodies and other consumables by promoting and recommending Miltenyi products when appropriate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Act as the primary field support for the MACSQuant and Tyto install base providing onsite training and applications support post sale, as needed.
• Perform onsite product demonstrations alongside Flow Cytometry Specialists coordinating activities with local TSCs.
• Conduct routine follow up post installation/training for existing MACSQuant and Tyto customers.
• Work collaboratively in shared accounts to support the sale of flow cytometry reagents, kits, and antibodies through joint workdays with local TSC.
• Plan and manage time and territory plan to ensure adequate coverage across territory and accounts.
• Provide ongoing support of existing customers with MACSQuant/Tyto technical questions as a follow up to incoming requests to Technical Support team.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and/or seminars; answer questions and provide additional application training.
• Use and comply with corporate electronic account management system (CRM), documenting interactions customers, calendar of appointments, and tracking of opportunities. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., Biology, Immunology, Biomedical Engineering), and 5 years of experience in biological sciences, cell and gene therapy and molecular biology with at least 2 years of flow cytometry experience; Master’s degree and 3 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred experience in immunology or cell and gene therapy.
• Preferred customer facing experience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Willingness to travel as required (up to 70%).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

This job is performed in a variety of facilities. Each person performing this job must have a home office environment, which is temperature controlled. This job requires the person to be mobile to visit customer sites. Due to the travel requirements, this position may be exposed to natural elements of nature.

The anticipated base salary range has been established at $104,078.25 - $131,628.38/year.  The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above salary range represents the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.  In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, plus a 401(k) plan.  All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, commissions, or car allowance.
